Told in autobiographic format, the protagonist tells of a life plagued with loss. Having grown up in the hippy years, he adapts to the changing world and acquires a life of diverse events and environments. Throughout the changes, his character remains constant, slowly coming to terms that his world is disappearing. The tale is haunted by the loss of his one true love.
